Details
A key element of easy hitching, unhitching, and safe trailer towing is having a strong and efficiently operating coupler system properly installed on the tongue of your trailer, and D-L die formed couplers are built to the highest industry standards. All models (except 998-4) offer an exclusive Quick-Lock ball clamp assembly that can be adjusted without needing wrenches. This feature provides a precise fit on the hitch ball while the trigger action release allows fast locking and unlocking of the ball clamp for convenient hitching. The lock lever is held securely closed by cam action and the safety latch. Features include:
- Quick-Lock ball clamp assembly provides a precise fit for proper towing and adjusts without the aid of tools
- Safety lever snaps shut and cannot unlatch itself
- Meets all requirements for SAE J684 and VESC V-5 standards for class 1, 2, 3, and 4
- Easily and quickly unlocked by a trigger action release on the safety lever
- Safety pin can be inserted through a hole in the lever to provide a secondary means of securing ball clamp in a locked position
- A padlock may be substituted for the pin if security against trailer theft is desired
